Members record CD

July 30, 2010 Three members of the Mason Symphony, Kay Rinker-O’Neil-flute, Cathy Waldron-bassoon, and Tracy Sonneborn-french horn,  had the privilege of playing instrumental tracks (and Kay sang opera) on the newest CD released by the band The Verve Pipe.  The album is titled “A Family Album” and is geared for the entire family, but especially kids! Kay has been working as a studio musician as a vocalist and instrumentalist since the 70’s, and has worked on many projects with Donny Brown, the drummer of The Verve Pipe.  When Donny asked Kay to play flute on “When One Became Two” for the album, he asked if she knew a bassoonist and a horn player.  Well of course she did!  You can hear the album on the Verve Pipes website. If you have kids or grandkids of any age, this is a fun and very creative album you can enjoy together!
